The Upstate/Downstate Housing Alliance (Housing Justice for All), Met Council on Housing, Citizen Action of NY, and NYC Democratic Socialists are hosting a

Mass Meeting:  What's next after the Eviction Moratorium?

Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 from 7-9 PM

Elected officials in Albany let New York's eviction moratorium expire last week without passing any protections to support tenants. Join Housing Justice for All, tenant attorneys, and organizers to talk about what is next in the fight against evictions and homelessness. We'll talk about:
  • What to do if you owe rent?
  • How you can fight back against your eviction?
  • Permanent solutions for New York's housing crisis

NYS eviction moratorium due to end Jan. 15th! Support "Good-cause" eviction bill

The NYS eviction moratorium is set to end on January 15, 2022, despite the fact the COVID-19 pandemic is resurging and 1.6 million households across the state have zero protections against unwarranted evictions or predatory rent hikes.

New York needs to pass permanent protections to keep families in their homes, not just temporary extension after extension.

Good Cause Eviction would allow tenants to stay in their homes and fight unfair rent hikes and unjustified evictions. Without this essential right, thousands of renters could be evicted this winter.*

Call your state representative today to demand that they pass Good Cause Eviction before the eviction moratorium expires on January 15th.
